  • Not Including All Trips Calendar.txt Entries

Not all trips are being included for each entry in the calendar.txt file. I see this for all Tram schedules in the current GTFS data set.

  • 429 Errors

Hello, I am still receiving 429 Too Many Request for https://api.ridemetro.org/GtfsRealtime/TripUpdates. Usage was approaching over 1K per day but is declining because of this error. Please adjust rate-limiting upwards for requests from the rideschedules.com domain. Thank you.

  • Errors With GTFS Realtime

Hello, I would like to report the occurance of errors with the GTFS-Realtime feed. I'm getting mixed results with the GTFS-Realtime feed, I recieve predicted times and unpredicted times both in the same API call as the attached screenshot demonstrates. In my server logs, I receive errors like the following. I cannot discern any pattern to the errors within the structure of the GTFS data. 2015-07-06 14:44:45,390 WARN [GtfsRealtimeSource.java:375] : Error updating from GTFS-realtime data sources java.lang.IllegalStateException: expected at least an arrival or departure time or delay for update: stop_sequence: 20 stop_id: "11855" schedule_relationship: NO_DATA Please assist with solving this issue. Thank you for your assistance. Sincerely, Andrew Hall

We can't seem to get any data from the API subscription key that we have -- all I get is "{ "statusCode": 429, "message": "Rate limit is exceeded. Try again in 8 seconds." } Also, the error message is in JSON and we were expecting XML.

  • GTFS and GTFS-R trip_ids Not Syncronized

Please remember to be sure GTFS-R is ALWAYS using the trip_ids at the GTFS URL. If the GTFS URL does not point to trip_ids used by GTFS-R, realtime trip updates stop working. This can happen if updated GTFS without previous trip_ids is posted early. Please remember to post updates after service hours of the last end_date in the previous data set if the new data set uses different trip_ids. Thank you.

  • Attribute Not Documented

I could not find any documentation of your response attributes. It is very difficult to translate output to human readable text without attribute documentation. For example, in the incidents call, what does this mean: #'Routes' => { # '__deferred' => { # 'uri' => 'http://services.commuterapi.com/TransitODataService.svc/Incidents(\'MeTrAuOfHaCo_MTA_9\')/Routes' # } # }, #'VersionDate' => '/Date(1421877420727)/', #'Stops' => { # '__deferred' => { # 'uri' => 'http://services.commuterapi.com/TransitODataService.svc/Incidents(\'MeTrAuOfHaCo_MTA_9\')/Stops' # } # }, I ASSUME this has something to do with routes and stops affected by the incident. But what other values will be in place of '__deferred' and will Routes always be a single item or an array? Will more items other than __deferred appear? Why does the uri point to an outside host? What's at the URI, a list of stops or additional information about this incident? To publish a response to the public, the meaning of each attribute has to be known for sure. Ideally, a be list of each attribute, its data type, whether it is optional or required, and what is actually means in the real world. Without proper documentation, implementing your service is difficult and risks publishing nonsense. Please take the time to document attributes.
